Data output
See the station's readings as they come in, browse what it has logged, and download data for a date and time range.
Data Output is where you look at and take away the station's data. It has three tabs: Raw Data, Logged Data and Data Download.
Who can open it: everyone (User, Admin and Factory). The GPS health log download is Factory only.
The station keeps two kinds of data:
- Raw data: a reading every second (or at the raw logging interval set on Device, Storage).
- Logged data: one record per logging interval, for example every minute, made from the raw readings with each parameter's sampling rule (latest, average, minimum, maximum or running total).
Raw Data and Logged Data tabs
Both tabs show the same Live Data Preview card. Raw Data shows the per-second data; Logged Data shows the logged records.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Table | Shows the most recent readings as a table, 25 rows at a time. The page controls under the table go back a few pages; the first page keeps updating, older pages stay as they were when you opened them. For anything older, use Data Download. Columns follow the parameter order set on the Parameters page. |
| Chart | Shows one small chart per parameter, each with its latest value next to its name. |
| Status dot | Next to the card title. Green while fresh data is arriving, red while it is not. |
The preview keeps refreshing while the page is open. Sunrise, sunset and solar noon values are shown as a time of day.
Data Download tab
Historical Data Download
| Field | Allowed values | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| From Date | A date from 2000 to 2099 | First day to include. |
| From Time | HH:MM, 24-hour. Type it or use the clock button. | Start time on the first day. Blank means 00:00. |
| To Date | A date from 2000 to 2099 | Last day to include. |
| To Time | HH:MM, 24-hour | End time on the last day. Blank means 23:59. |
| Button | What happens |
|---|---|
| Download Raw Data | Downloads the per-second data for the range. |
| Download Logged Data | Downloads the logged records for the range. |
| Download GPS Health Log | Factory role only. Downloads the GPS module's health log. |
A download is a ZIP file of CSV files. The data is split into files the same way the station splits it on storage, set by the Create Interval on Device, Storage. Times in the files are the station's local time.
The download opens in a new browser tab so you can keep using the console while it runs. If your browser blocks the new tab, the download starts the older way instead. After you stop changing the dates, the page may start preparing the file in the background and show Preparing download… then Ready to download, so the click is faster.
SD Card Data Download
Shown only on models with an SD card slot. It downloads the copy of the data kept on the SD card.
The status line says what the page found:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| SD card: 42 days of data (date to date) | The card holds data. The dates are filled in for you. |
| SD card mounted, no data files found | The card is there but empty. The buttons stay off. |
| SD card not mounted | No usable card. The buttons stay off. |
| SD card disabled by administrator | The SD card slot is switched off on Device, Storage. |
| Could not read SD card status | The page could not ask the station. Reload. |
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| From Date, To Date | The days to include (2000 to 2099). |
Buttons: Download SD Raw Data and Download SD Logged Data.
Common problems
| Message | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Please select both From and To dates | A date is missing. | Fill in both dates. |
| Please select a valid year between 2000 and 2099 | The year is outside the allowed range. | Correct the year. |
| From date/time must be before To date/time | The range is back to front. | Swap the dates or times. |
| Another download is in progress on this device. Please try again shortly. | The station makes one download at a time. | Wait for the other download to finish. |
| No CSV files found in date range / No SD card data in date range | Nothing was logged in that range. | Widen the range, or check the logging settings on Device, Storage. |
| No data available (preview) | The station has no readings of that kind yet. | Check that parameters are set up and data sources are running. |
| Connection error (preview) | The page lost contact with the station. | Reload the page. |
Large ranges take time
The station builds the files itself. A range of many days of per-second data can take minutes. Leave the download tab open until the file is saved.
