Reboot the station
Restart the station from the console and wait for it to come back.
Goal: the station restarts and the console is back, usually in about 90 seconds.
Before you start
- You need the Admin role.
- A reboot drops every connection to the station for a short while: console sessions, Modbus masters reading it, and uploads in progress. Tell anyone who depends on it.
- Only reboot when you need to, for example when Aeron support asks.
Steps
- 1
Open the System tab. Go to Device and open the System tab.
- 2
Reboot. On the System Reboot card, click Reboot Device.
- 3
Confirm. In Confirm Reboot, click Yes, Reboot. The window shows Restarting device… with a timer.
- 4
Wait. Keep the page open. When the station is back, the window says Device is back online and reloads the page. If you are asked to sign in, use a fresh code.
Check it worked
The Dashboard loads, Last Log under Data Logging is recent, and the status icons in the top bar turn green again as connections come back.
If something goes wrong
- Taking a bit longer, hang tight. After 2 minutes the window says so. Keep waiting a few more minutes.
- The station does not come back. Check its power and network. If it was changed over the network just before, see Recover from a bad network change. Otherwise contact Aeron support.
