What is DALI
DALI is the web console built into every Aeron XTM station. It is how you set up the station, watch its readings and get its data out.
An Aeron XTM station is a data logger for solar and weather sites. It reads field sensors, works out the values you care about, stores them, and sends them on. DALI is the web console that runs on the station itself. You open it in a browser, and there is nothing to install.
What you use DALI for
- Seeing what the station sees. The Dashboard shows the station's health, its connections and the latest readings.
- Connecting sensors. Modbus, SDI-12, analog and digital inputs are all set up in the console.
- Defining parameters. A parameter is one measured or calculated value, such as irradiance or module temperature, with its name, unit and number of decimals.
- Getting data out. Download files, let a SCADA system read values over Modbus, or have the station send data to Live3 or your own cloud.
- Looking after the station. Network, time, storage, firmware and the activity log.
DALI and Live3
Live3 is Aeron's cloud platform and mobile app. DALI and Live3 work together, but the station never depends on Live3 to do its job: it keeps measuring, logging and serving data with no internet at all.
- Live3 decides who may open a station's console, and with which role. See Roles and access.
- Live3 keeps a copy of the station's settings and can send changes to it. See Working with Live3.
- The Live3 app can reach a station on site, over its hotspot or Bluetooth, when there is no internet.
