Dashboard

The station at a glance. Which station it is, whether it is logging and uploading, which data sources are running, and the latest reading of every parameter.

The Dashboard is the first page after you sign in. It only shows information; nothing on it changes a setting.

Who can open it: everyone (User, Admin and Factory).

The page has three sections, top to bottom: Device, Operational Status & Uploaders, and Live Parameters. The information cards refresh every 30 seconds.

Device

One line that identifies the station. Fields with no value are left out.

FieldWhat it is
Station name and IDThe name and ID set for this station.
USNThe station's serial number.
LocationThe site description entered for the station.
TimezoneThe station's time zone.
Part IDThe station's part number.
Hw Ver, Sw VerHardware and software version.
Eth MAC, WiFi MACThe network hardware addresses of the Ethernet and Wi-Fi ports.

With the Factory role, clicking the station name opens Device, General.

Operational Status & Uploaders

A set of cards. For Admin and Factory, clicking a card's heading opens the page where that part is set up.

Data Logging

FieldWhat it shows
Logging Interval/CSV Roll OverHow often a logged record is written, and how often a new data file is started.
Raw Logging/CSV Roll OverThe same for the per-second raw data.
Last LogWhen the last logged record was written.
Last Raw LogWhen the last raw record was written.
Number of ParametersHow many parameters the station records.

Heading link: Device, Storage, where these intervals are set.

Aeron Cloud (Live3)

The upload to Live3.

FieldWhat it shows
ServerThe address the station uploads to.
Upload IntervalHow often it uploads.
1-sec Data UploadEnabled if per-second data is sent as well as the logged data.
Last UploadedWhen the last upload went through.
Pending DataFiles waiting to be sent. A + means there are more than the count shows.
StatusActive or Inactive.

The card gets an amber border when 100 or more files are waiting, and a red border at 1,000 or more, or when nothing has been uploaded for 24 hours.

Heading link: Cloud upload.

Communication Protocols

One pill per data source, ticked when it is running and crossed when it is not: TCP Master, RS232 Master, RS485 Master, RS485-2 Master, TCP Slave, RS232 Slave, RS485 Slave and SDI-12.

Heading link: Modbus.

FTP / SFTP Servers and HTTP

Shown only when servers of that kind are set up. For each server: its address and status, and while it is active the upload interval, last upload, files waiting and whether 1-second data is sent. The same amber and red borders apply.

Destinations

Shown only when at least one destination is set up (firmware 4.1 and later). One row per destination:

StateMeaning
DeliveringSending normally.
RetryingThe last attempt failed and the station is trying again.
Waiting for first sendSet up, has not sent anything yet.
DisabledSends nothing while disabled.
Not runningThe upload engine on the station is not running.
Not reportingThe upload engine has not reported on this destination recently.
Credentials refusedThe receiving service rejected the login or key.
Paused: server refusing dataThe service keeps rejecting the data, so the station stopped trying.

Each row also shows when data was last delivered, the backlog (for example "about 120 readings, oldest 5 min old", or "Caught up"), and the last error if there is one.

Heading link: Cloud upload.

Live Parameters

A grid with the latest value of every parameter, with its unit.

  • The grid refreshes at the station's raw logging interval, or every 5 seconds if that is not known. If raw logging is switched off, the grid shows the latest logged values instead.
  • The badge in the heading says Live when every value is fresh, or for example 12 Live · 3 Idle when some parameters have stopped updating. Idle values are greyed.
  • A dash means the parameter has no value yet.
  • Sunrise, sunset and solar noon values are shown as a time of day (HH:MM).
  • Filter live parameters by name: type part of a name to highlight matches and dim the rest. Nothing is removed. The count shows how many match. The x clears the filter.
  • Click the heading to collapse or expand the grid.

Very long numbers are shortened for display only. Downloads and uploads carry the full value.
