Reports
Scheduled PDF reports on a station's data, emailed daily, weekly or monthly.
Reports send a summary of a station's data to a list of email addresses on a schedule, so people get the numbers without signing in. Each run covers the last full period (yesterday for a daily report, the past seven days for a weekly one) and arrives as an email with a PDF attached. The screen lists your schedules and keeps a log of every report sent.
How to get there. Choose Reports in the left navigation. New reports are created for the station selected in the station switcher in the top bar.
Key areas
| Area | What it does |
|---|---|
| Reports tab | Your report schedules and the ones you receive. Columns: Station, Name, Schedule, Time, Email, Enabled and Actions. Search to narrow the list. |
| New Report | Opens the form for a new schedule on the station selected in the top bar. |
| Send Test Report | Emails a one-time report over the last 24 hours of the selected station's data, so you can check delivery and see what the PDF looks like. |
| Enabled and Actions | On a report you created, the Enabled switch pauses or resumes it, and Actions has Edit and Delete. On a report someone else sends you, the switch subscribes or unsubscribes you, and Actions is empty. |
| Log tab | Every report sent for the selected station: Sent, Report, Period, Recipients, Readings, Status and Reference. Pick a date range; the last seven days are shown first. |
Common tasks
Schedule a daily, weekly or monthly report
- Pick the station in the top bar.
- Click New Report.
- Give it a name. The name appears in the list and in the email subject; leave it blank to use a default.
- Choose a frequency: Daily, Weekly (pick the weekday) or Monthly (pick a day from 1 to 28, so it runs every month, February included).
- Set the time of day the email is sent.
- Add up to 10 recipients (press Enter or a comma after each address). Your own email is filled in to start with.
- Choose the parameters to summarise, or leave none selected to cover every parameter the station reports. Then save.
Try a report before scheduling it
- Pick the station in the top bar.
- Click Send Test Report, enter an address, and send.
- Check the inbox. The test uses the same layout as a scheduled report.
Stop receiving a report someone else set up
- Find the report on the Reports tab. It is marked as one you receive.
- Turn off the subscription switch on its row. The report keeps going to everyone else, and you can turn it back on at any time.
Check that a report went out
- Pick the station in the top bar and open the Log tab.
- Set the date range. Each row shows the period covered, how many readings it included, and whether it was sent. If it failed, hover the status to see why.
A report you created can only be changed by you. You cannot move an existing report to another station: create a new one for that station instead.
