Add a user to an organization
Invite someone to your organization, give them a role, and grant station access.
Goal: by the end, a new person can sign in to Live3, with the right role and access to the stations they need.
This task spans three screens — the Members page to invite them and set a role, then the Stations page to grant access.
Before you start
- You need an Admin role in the organization.
- Have the person's email address ready.
- Know which role and which stations they should have.
Steps
- 1
Invite the user. Go to the Members page and click Invite. Enter their email address and send the invitation. They'll receive an email with a link to set up their account.
- 2
Assign a role. Still on the Members page, find the new member in the list and set their role (Admin or User). The role decides what they're allowed to do — see Users, roles & permissions for what each one can do.
- 3
Grant station access. Open the Stations page, choose the station(s) this user should see, and add them to it. A user only sees the stations they've been granted — repeat for each station they need.
Granting access to lots of users for one station? See Assign a station to a user.
Result
The user appears on the Members page with the role you set. Once they accept the invitation email and sign in, they'll see exactly the stations you granted — and nothing else.
