PV module temperature sensor with RS485 Modbus RTU output, IEC 61724-1:2021 Class A
Overview
RIGEL2-MT-RS485 is the digital model of Rigel 2. It measures the back-surface temperature of a solar PV module with a Class A PT1000 element and reports it over RS485 Modbus RTU, so it connects straight to a data logger, PLC or SCADA system. It meets the accuracy needed for IEC 61724-1:2021 Class A monitoring systems.
The sensing disc is 7.2 mm thick and small enough to sit on the rear of a bifacial module without shading it. The disc is anodised aluminium, which protects the element and conducts the module's heat to it; the electronics sit in a separate ABS housing on the cable. The whole sensor is IP65.
Product code: 55020. Earlier datasheets call this model RIGEL MT1K10.
